HIPPY Home Visitors

Home Visitors, past HIPPY parents, are hired and trained to visit mothers in their homes. They reach out to isolated mothers and support them, one-on-one, by transforming the home environment into a place of rich learning opportunities.

HIPPY Home Visitors act as peer mentors for parents in the program.
HIPPY Home Visitors know and share the same challenges as the newcomer families with whom they work.
HIPPY Home Visitors build a resume and a Canadian work history while they improve their ESL/FSL skills.
Mother and child reading

Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) provides a free preschool program to newcomer families and low-income families living in social isolation.
